She began her career at Scalamandré in 1997, later serving as Creative Director, where she developed custom and collection textiles within the historic Long Island City mill.
With expertise spanning woven fabrics, hand printing, trimmings, and wallcoverings, Julie combines technical precision with a deep appreciation for historic design and craftsmanship. Ongoing travel and close relationships with artisans continue to inspire the collection, grounding it in material integrity and a global perspective.
