CAUCASIAN
These rugs are eponymous of the Caucasus region which is located at the border of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, and includes Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and sometimes parts of northwestern Iran and northeastern Turkey. Oftentimes with strong colors and geometric in nature, Caucasian floor coverings were typically made from materials unique to individual regional tribes, and were typically produced as an endeavor by many from within a village, bringing an extra touch of regional flavor, heart and soul to each rug. Here at CLOTH & KIND, we dig em for their unabashedly bold patterns, frequent use of all manner of wild beasts and, of course, many in pictoral style - which we simply can't get enough of.
