FLATWEAVE & KILIM
This simple and utilitarian method of weaving on a loom is one of the oldest practices of rug-making. While kilims and flatweaves are all uniquely representative of their region of origin in patterning and motifs, they will always share a weave type which is thinner than your typical knotted pile rug. Historically produced for both artistic and highly practical purposes, these beauties would just as easily be seen adorning a wall or draping the foot of a bed as they would covering the floors of tents and homes. We dig em for their durability and modesty.
