RETURNS & EXCHANGES

  

GENERAL

We truly hope that you adore everything you scored here but understand that things don't always work out. For those times that it isn't love at first sight, we have developed a generous and fair returns and exchanges policy. Please see below for the most relevant information based on your purchase type.

 

NEW & IN STOCK ITEMS

CLOTH & KIND accepts returns or exchanges on in-stock, new and unused items. Each must be returned in its original condition and packaging within 15 days from the original purchase date, with the receipt.

All refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, for the amount on the receipt, less any applicable restocking fees. If you have any questions about your item and whether or not its eligible for return or exchange, please contact our shop staff who will be happy to assist you.

 

ONE OF A KIND ITEMS

We also accept returns or exchanges on most small to mid-sized one of a kind and vintage items, like accessories. Each must be returned in its original condition and packaging within 15 days from the original purchase date, with the receipt.

Please note that larger one of a kind items, like rugs and art, have differing return and exchanges policies. See below.

All refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, for the amount on the receipt, less any applicable restocking fees. If you have any questions about your item and whether or not its eligible for return or exchange, please contact our shop staff who will be happy to assist you.

 

RUGS

We've developed our In-Home Rug Approval Program specifically to take the unknown and the fear out of the process of purchasing an antique or vintage rug.

When you purchase a rug we will ship it to your home and give you 3 business days to live with it and determine if it's the right one for you. If it is, keep it and enjoy your small piece of woven history. If not, we'll happily issue a full refund for the original purchase price upon our receipt of the rug in its original condition and based on the following parameters:   

  • Tracking information must be provided to CLOTH & KIND prior to the rug being shipped back

  • Item(s) must be received at CLOTH & KIND within 7-10 days of purchase, no exceptions

  • We ship all rugs out for free; Return packaging and S&H costs are paid for by the customer

        All refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, for the amount on the receipt. If you have any questions about your item and whether or not its eligible for return or exchange, please contact our shop staff and they will be happy to assist you. 

         

        ART

        Due to the fragile nature of original pieces of art we do not accept returns or exchanges on any originals, commissioned pieces, or framed pieces of any kind.

        Unframed prints may be returned per our New and In-Stock policy as outlined above.

        All refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, for the amount on the receipt, less any applicable restocking fees. If you have any questions about your item and whether or not its eligible for return or exchange, please contact our shop staff who will be happy to assist you.

         

        LIGHTING

        If the fixture arrives in good condition but you do not love it for whatever reason you may return or exchange it based on the following parameters:

        • Must not have been installed

        • Must be returned in all of its original packaging

        • Must be received at CLOTH & KIND within 15 days of your receipt of the item

        • Return S&H costs are paid for by the customer

        • A 25% restocking fee will apply for all returns and exchanges

        • For exchanges, the new item will ship at no cost to you

        • For returns, the refund (less the 25% restocking fee and applicable return S&H costs) will be issued to the original form of payment


        If the fixture arrived damaged, please immediately contact CLOTH & KIND for specific instructions on how to return or exchange your lighting, at no cost to you, based on the following parameters:

        • Must not have been installed

        • Must be returned in all of its original packaging

        • The new replacement item will ship at no cost to you


        All refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, for the amount on the receipt, less any applicable restocking fees.         CUSTOM ORDERS

        Due to the unique nature of custom orders we are not able to accept returns or exchanges on these items. 

         

        SALE ITEMS

        All sale items are final sale. 

         

        INSTRUCTIONS

        Once you’ve determined that your item is eligible for return or exchange, please carefully package the item in its original packaging as well as any additional packaging necessary to ensure its safe transportation. Kindly include your receipt in the package and mail it to:

        CLOTH & KIND is not responsible for shipping fees or lost returns. Please obtain a tracking number for your records.

        You will get an email confirmation from us once your item has been received and we have processed your return or exchange.
