WHAT ARE YOUR SHOP HOURS?
Our shop is open at all hours online!
WHAT ARE YOUR SHOWROOM HOURS?
Our Showroom is open, by appointment only, to qualified interior designers, builders and architects Monday - Friday from 9 am - 5 pm. To learn more about our line list, please check out our Showroom page. In order to receive trade pricing, you must first submit and be approved for a CLOTH & KIND Showroom account. You’ll find the application here. The Showroom is also open to the public, by appointment only, with all available lines offered at retail price points.

PRICING & PAYMENT
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept all major credit cards including American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa, in addition to Amazon Pay, Apple Pay (note: this only appears as a payment option if you are using Safari as your browser) and PayPal.
MAY I CHANGE MY PAYMENT METHOD FOR AN ONLINE ORDER?
If your order has not yet shipped then we will happily work with you to accommodate this request. Please contact us and have your confirmation email handy.
ARE ALL ITEMS PRICED THE SAME IN STORE AND ONLINE?
Most definitely. We use a pretty sweet omnichannel inventory and POS system which means that our prices are the same no matter if you’re shopping in store, online or on social channels like Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.
ARE YOUR PRICES NEGOTIABLE?
Nope.
WHAT'S THE PRICE RANGE FOR YOUR FURNITURE LINES?
We’re incredibly proud to offer absolutely best-in-class furniture in a variety of price points, many of which are comparable to large, well-known furniture retailers, but which far surpass them in quality, comfort, aesthetics and, ultimately, value. To learn more about what actually makes a quality piece of furniture (and therefore goes into the cost of manufacturing it), feel free to contact us. We love nothing more than chatting on this topic and regardless of if you end up buying from us or not, we are truly happy to help better inform anyone that is interested. We’re educated on this topic, and - perhaps even more importantly - are passionate about it.
WHAT'S THE PRICE PER YARD OF YOUR TEXTILE LINES?
The textile and wallcovering lines we represent are, for the most part, artisanal, small batch and beautifully handmade. They are priced at $150-300+/yard retail. Designer net pricing is available to qualified trade members.
GIFT CARDS
IS MY CLOTH & KIND GIFT CARD GOOD ONLINE?
Yes.
WILL MY CLOTH & KIND GIFT CARD EXPIRE?
Nope. Just be sure to hang on to the gift card (or email with the gift card code). Because without that information, it’s unfortunately not worth anything.
RETURNS, SHIPPING & HANDLING
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges page.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
At this time, we only ship to the continental US. But please do contact us to let us know if you are overseas and would like to know when international shipping becomes available.
WILL ALL OF MY ITEMS SHIP OUT AT AND ARRIVE AT THE SAME TIME?
Not necessarily. Most of the items we carry are in our physical possession but some are warehoused elsewhere and will ship separately. If you have a question about a specific order, please contact us for additional information.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I REFUSE DELIVERY OF AN ITEM I ORDERED BECAUSE I NO LONGER WANT IT?
If you refuse a large item delivery and it is not due to the piece being damaged or defective, then a store credit will be issued to you in the amount of the purchase price, less the shipping, handling and delivery fees and a 15% restocking fee.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ITEM ARRIVES VIA A SCHEDULED IN-HOME DELIVERY EITHER DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE (NOTE: NOT APPLICABLE TO ITEMS SENT VIA STANDARD SHIPPING METHODS)?
You are responsible for fully inspecting the piece before signing the delivery paperwork. Should you find any defects or issues, please do not sign the delivery paperwork, refuse the delivery, and immediately contact us (within 24-48 hours) to discuss best next steps so that we may work with all parties involved to either have your piece repaired or arrange to have a new piece delivered to you as soon as possible.

ART
CAN YOU HELP ME FIND THE RIGHT PIECE OF ART?
Art makes us so very happy and we’d be honored to assist you in finding the ideal piece(s) for your home. There are a couple of different ways we can help, ranging from complimentary assistance with sourcing from our online shop from our wonderful and knowledgeable Shop sales associates, to working with an interior designer from our Studio for a highly customized approach. Please contact us for more information.
CAN YOU HELP ME NEGOTIATE A COMMISSIONED PIECE OF ART FROM ONE OF THE ARTISTS YOU CARRY?

ORDERING
MAY I CANCEL OR MAKE A CHANGE TO AN ORDER I PLACED ONLINE?
Orders may not be cancelled or changed online, but if you call us within 1 business day we would be happy to cancel your order and issue a refund or make a change to your order, providing the item has not yet shipped out.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO PLACE AN ORDER BY PHONE?

GENERAL
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO OPEN IN ANN ARBOR, MI (KRISTA'S HOMETOWN) INSTEAD OF ATHENS, GA (TAMI'S HOMETOWN)?
Athens is close to Atlanta which is a virtual design mecca, abundant with richly stocked resources that are both open to the public and to-the-trade. By contrast, we recognized that there was a tremendous gap in the home marketplace here in Michigan, and one that we felt we were uniquely poised to address. It’s been a true labor of love to bring both our to-the-trade Showroom and online Shop, both open to the public by appointment, to Ann Arbor. We’re already relishing in, and extremely grateful for, the praise that y’all have lavished upon us. IS THIS ITEM IN STOCK?
Most of our inventory is in stock, yes. However, not all. Some of our rugs are warehoused off site, for example. If you have a question about a particular item don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll gladly let you know.
HOW FREQUENTLY DO YOU ADD NEW PIECES TO YOUR ONLINE SHOP?
We’re constantly scouring our favorite sources for the coolest one-of-a-kind pieces as well as new items that we take a strong liking to. Check back frequently, and also sign up for our email list to stay in the know - especially when it comes to new items in the shop and online.
DO YOUR SALES ASSOCIATES WORK ON COMMISSION?
Nope. This is a totally pressure-free zone! Our sales associates have received exceptional training and are highly knowledgable on all of the lines we represent. They are available to help you make decisions based on your personal style preferences, budgets and any other considerations you may have.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET MORE PICTURES OF AN ITEM I'M CONSIDERING PURCHASING?
If the item you’re interested in is in our possession (as opposed to the warehouse) we’d be more than happy to snap additional pictures of it for you. Just contact us to let us know which piece and where we can email the pictures.
I HAVE A LINE THAT I THINK YOU'D BE INTERESTED IN CARRYING IN YOUR SHOP AND/OR SHOWROOM. WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO GET CONSIDERED BY CLOTH & KIND?
Krista and Tami personally review all artists and vendors that we carry in the Shop and Showroom. You're welcome to submit an email to shop@clothandkind.com with some samples of your work and any other relevant information for their consideration. If they are interested they will be in touch with you to set up time to meet and discuss specifics. Unfortunately, due to the quantity of requests that we receive, you will only hear from them if they are interested and think it would be a mutually good fit.
WHO MAKES THIS/WHAT IS THE VENDOR/WHERE IS THIS FROM?
The provenance of any item we bring into our homes is important and we adore when people care enough to want to know. Generally, for one of a kind items (including all antiques and vintage pieces) we’ve included as much information as we have available to us within the online listing but it’s always worth contacting us to see if we have additional information about a piece you’re interested in.
WHERE DOES YOUR TAGLINE "HISTORY AND HEART, STORY AND SUBSTANCE" COME FROM?
When Krista and Tami first partnered together in CLOTH & KIND, they spent a significant amount of energy and time thinking about what mattered to them in design and what they most wanted to convey through their work. These four words were recurring themes then and remain even more true today. You can read a bit more about their story here.
HOW DO YOU GUARANTEE THAT THE IMAGE ONLINE WILL ACCURATELY REFLECT THE PRODUCT I RECEIVE?
We take all of our product photos in either natural light or with the best quality photography lighting in order to get the most accurate representation of colors, texture and condition possible, per item. That said, y’all know that colors can get wonky online and vary greatly depending on your computer settings, etc. If you have any questions or concerns about color or condition (especially for antique and vintage items) please definitely contact us to discuss prior to purchasing.
DO I HAVE THE OPTION TO PICK UP MY ITEM FROM THE STORE?
Absolutely, if the item is in stock here in Ann Arbor we’d love to have you come check it out in the flesh. You’ll need to contact us first to confirm that the item you’re interested in is here, then place the order by phone as opposed to online.
SALES
DOES CLOTH & KIND EVER HAVE SALES?
Periodically, we will have Sample Sales when we are ready to move pieces off of our floor to make room for new items. If you’re interested in being notified about when our next Sample Sale will take place, please sign up for our emails.
ACCOUNT
IS IT NECESSARY FOR ME TO HAVE AN ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE SOMETHING FROM YOUR ONLINE SHOP?
Not at all. You are more than welcome to check out as a guest. The benefit of registering, however, is that you’ll have a record of your order history and also get access to special subscriber-only sales, annual savings on your birthday as a gift from us, and other little niceties.

DO YOU OFFER VIRTUAL DESIGN SERVICES?
We work with clients all across the country and, depending on the scope of the project, will often use technology to avoid unnecessary travel expenses. That said, there are typically at least a few trips that are required for any project including an initial site visit and final installation, at a bare minimum. Please contact us to schedule a complimentary phone discussion and to learn more about how we can work together.
We are a full service interior design studio and do not offer “design in a box” virtual services.
MAY I SET UP A PHONE CONSULTATION TO SEE IF WORKING WITH C&K IS THE RIGHT FIT?
Definitely. Extraordinary design flows most freely when there is an easy and comfortable relationship between client and designer so this is of the utmost importance to us as well.
