Job Title: Outside Sales Associate, Full-Time
CLOTH & KIND’s Midwest Trade Showroom is growing! We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Associate who thrives on exceeding sales goals to service our existing clients as well as grow our clientele in the Midwest market. This position actively calls on accounts in-person in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, with a remote focus on Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Administrative sales support for this position is provided by the in-house Showroom team in Ann Arbor, MI. A successful candidate knowledgeably and passionately promotes the Showroom while proactively servicing existing clients and identifies new opportunities to exceed sales goals.

Our Ideal Candidate & Qualifications:
Requirements include, but are not limited to:
- 3+ years of outside sales experience in the luxury interior design industry
- Track record of consistently exceeding sales goals
- Excellent communication, organization and client management skills
- Proactive self-starter who requires minimal management
- Exceptional follow-up skills
- Comfortable cold-calling and performing drop-ins
- Willing to handle all levels of problem solving, including communicating bad news to clients while offering actionable solutions
- Willing to be gracious no matter what, researching companies, knowing their culture and continually adhering to respectful discretion of the inner-workings of various companies
- Comfortable with a variety of types of technology and software applications, including all Google Workspace products

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Proactive promotion and sales of our exceptional artisanal fabric, wallcovering, furniture, lighting, and rugs represented by CLOTH & KIND Showroom
- Cultivate and maintain established relationships with luxury interior designers and members of the trade throughout the assigned territory
- Continually grow sales territory by researching and establishing new designer relationships, while nurturing existing designer relationships via in-person presentations, cold calling, drop-ins, and networking with other reps and through industry events
- Regularly meet with interior designers throughout the territory to present fresh and new ideas for their current projects, to educate them on our full offering, and to share the benefits of sourcing from CLOTH & KIND’s Showroom Develop a deep understanding of each line in order to serve as a valued resource to clients based on exceptional product and industry knowledge
- Organize and maintain road kits, keeping sales materials and drop-in packages up to date at all times
- Promptly respond to all client requests with an acknowledgement within twelve (12) hours of the inquiry
- Work closely with the COO, Client Services Liaison, Marketing Director, and the Memo Librarian, all based in our Ann Arbor, MI Showroom, to coordinate and execute sales strategies
- Research and attend industry events and networking opportunities, continually seeking out new avenues for sales
- Attend weekly Showroom team meetings
- Manage sales goals and report progress to management on a weekly basis
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary + Commission; Commensurate with Experience
