Showroom & Product Development Coordinator
Job Title: Showroom & Product Development Coordinator, Full-Time
The CLOTH & KIND Midwest Showroom is growing! We are seeking a Showroom & Product Development Coordinator to support the Showroom sales team and Product Development initiatives. The ideal candidate has an unwavering passion for all things home design, is excruciatingly detail oriented, lives for organization, and desires a fun and fast paced environment. This position supports showroom sales efforts while assisting in product development efforts for CLOTH & KIND’S proprietary product lines.

Our Ideal Candidate & Qualifications:
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related creative field
- 1-2 years of experience in interior design, event planning, product development or showroom sales, or excellent internship experience
- Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with a variety of types of technology and software applications, including all Google Workspace products
- Ability to work in person in our Ann Arbor office full-time, with a valid driver's license and functional automobile
- Ability to maintain a consistently positive, optimistic, and upbeat attitude
- Willingness to get the job done right and with a sense of urgency
- Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team

Showroom Sales Responsibilities
Support the Showroom sales team in all ways necessary to achieve goals, including but not limited to:
- Serve as the primary internal Showroom sales person to the CLOTH & KIND Studio team:
- Own the sales and administrative details of the order process from start to finish for all Studio orders from the Showroom
- Attend weekly Showroom meetings
- Attend Studio meetings a minimum of 1-2x per month in order to best service their needs from a Showroom standpoint and to provide updates on new lines, products, patterns / colorways, general information, changes in pricing, etc.
- Send new memos, samples, and sales materials to the Athens, GA Studio team as soon as they are available
- Share notifications about discontinued patterns / colorways so the Studio team may remove them from their memo libraries
- Communicate with Showroom lines, as needed, to obtain accurate quotes as requested by the Studio team
- Email sales quotes to the Studio team on the same day (or no later than one business day in the event of lag time on the information requested from our lines)
- Generate Shopify invoices for all Studio orders
- Place and expedite Studio orders with our Showroom lines
- Verify receipt of all Showroom orders with our Showroom lines
- Track all Studio orders through the entire order life cycle
- Manage any issues with Studio orders expeditiously and with total resolution
- Lead numerous aspects of inventory management as it relates to the CLOTH & KIND Showroom website (our online password-protected shopping platform for approved trade members), such as:
- Creating new SKUs and listings for all lines and/or new patterns or products
- Update listings with color and pattern/style tags to enable optimal search functionality
- Update listings when price increases occur
- Remove discontinued product listings
- Monitor the Showroom website product listings on a weekly basis to ensure nothing is appearing as out of stock in error or is listed incorrectly and that search functionality is working optimally based on color and pattern/style tags
- Provide back-up to the Client Services Liaison (CSL) for duties related to outside Showroom accounts, such as:
- Coordinate PTO schedule with CSL and manage her duties while she is out of office; CSL will provide the same back up while you are out of office
- Assist CSL and/or Showroom Assistants or Interns with pulling memos and samples requested by Showroom clients and mail them out within 1 business day of the original request
- Assist with organizing and stocking the Showroom library, which consists of all fabric and wallcovering memos, samples, sales materials, and office supplies
- Assist with organizing and managing all Showroom displays
- Assist with regularly dusting and vacuuming the Showroom to keep up with fibers from all of our fabrics
- Order and/or run errands to obtain office supplies
Product Development Responsibilities
Support Partners & Principal Designers and COO in the development and maintenance of proprietary CLOTH & KIND product collections (such as textiles and wallcoverings, rugs, lighting, and furnishings), including but not limited to:
- Assist in the development of new collections as well as collection extensions for both private label and licensed collections
- Work with the Product Team to understand product development categories, sales goals, and specific creative direction for each item to be developed
- Work closely with various vendors and workrooms to manage component requirements and internal/external orders
- Track product as Inventory
- Assist in the maintenance of NPD documents such as line lists, timelines, and production agreements
- Assist in managing and overseeing subcontractors for design and vendors and workrooms producing various collections
- Lead all aspects of inventory management for CLOTH & KIND product lines (see inventory management responsibilities above under Showroom Sales Responsibilities)
- Serve as the internal liaison for all CLOTH & KIND product lines to both Showroom and Studio, ensuring they are kept up to date on all launches and relevant product information so they may sell it to their clients
- Assist Marketing Director in the development of all promotional materials to support product launches and sales efforts
- Assist COO in managing outside sales channels such as other showrooms or vendors
